Writing to Celebrities
When you write your letter complement the celebrity on an achievement that she had in the past. The further back in time the better, because they can see that you actually care about them and you want the autograph. Another way of increasing you chance of getting an autograph is by including an SASE in the envelope. A SASE is a self addressed envelope, that is stamped. This increases you success because the celebrity doesn't has to waste his time and money to get you an envelope. It is also a good idea to send along 4 x 6 inch photo incase the celebrity doesn't have anything to sign. Sometimes they will sign your photo, and other times they will send back their own photo. Not all celebrities respond to Fan mail, and that can become very frustrating. You must have patience as you will not get your signature back the following day. I have waited up to one year for a celebrity to respond. If they don't respond then, write again, and check if you got the address right. Sometimes they don't respond because they have to much Fan mail and they will only sign half of what they get. The key word to being a successful collector is by having Patience.
